Was it drawn to be humourous and your readers simply didn't get it and commented a little hastily? It's Alfred being diagnosed and then being put out of his misery by Batman. Unfortunately I assume it's simply the minor section of the population who will call the subject manner "funny" to blindly grasp at labelling themsevles as different or in order to provoke a response from the rest of us and, this comment in hand, you've succeeded.
