This was brilliant work. Although I gotta admit that had I not already came across the poem some weeks ago while Wiki-walking, I would have never understood it. Guess random pieces of useless info collected from Wikipedia is good for SOMETHING, eh?

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed He was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from His life. For each scene He noticed two sets of footprints in the sand. One belonging to Him and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of His life flashed before Him, the man looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of His life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times of His life.

This really bothered the man and he questioned the LORD about it.

"LORD you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied, "my precious, precious child, I Love you and I would never leave you! During your times of trial and suffering when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

The man thought for a while and then said "Hang on, let's go look at some of those instances". And so, the LORD and the man walked back past some of the spots where there were single footprints.

"Ah ha!" the man said "I didn't think I was imagining it, I might be a mere mortal but my eyesight isn't that bad, at no point do your footprints break the path you've been taking and cross into mine, I call shenanigans on your explanation"

"Oh, well, you see" mumbled the LORD looking shifty "hey, what's that behind you?!"

When he turned back, the Man was alone.

ROFLMAO My mother always used to read that to me. Hell I even had a girlfriend read it over the phone to me once when I was in the army. Always thought it was a little patronizing. Awesome work!

Wow, took me a while before I got it, I even knew about the biblical reference already. I missed the fact that the three pictures in the middle had 'thinking bubbles', like being a memory. I thought they were all chronological... stupid me...

*sigh* This is in reference to the old story about a man's life and his relationship with God. At the end of his journey, after spending his years walking side-by-side with Jesus, he looks back to see only one set of footprints in the sand. Asking "Where were You all that time?" Jesus answers "That was when I carried you."

Very funny, this comic. I approve =3
