I think the problem is that the bald guy has two sudden realizations just a second apart. First he notices the gun pointed at him, to which he says “Oh shit” and dodges sideways; then he notices that he’s in free fall, to which he merely goes into gawking mode. I got confused because I thought he’s sreaming “Oh shit” because he slipped or something and already sees that he’s going to fall down; in that case, the two last panels would be one too many. But you have to see it this way: When he’s jumping to the right like a madman, he actually still thinks he’s in the game like some movie-style Bruce Willis. The kicking of the door, the “Oh shit”, the dodging, that’s all one fluid action-movie movement. It’s only when he’s already in midair that he realizes that things have taken a dramatic and unexpected turn for the worse.
Go back to the comic now–it’s actually still fun even after this complete over-explanation.

Thanks to Cornelius I finally got it… How i first read it was that in the 3rd pic the bald guy had got shot, which made him fall and yell “Oh shit”. Instead the story goes like this: he yells because he sees the other guy pointing the gun at him. Then he dodges aside, and falls, which is funny.

I know it all happens fast but I don’t think the gimmick of how he fell off was creative or well understood enough. I actually thought the comic was funny at first glance but as I studied it further is became unfunny.
