I think it’s really cool that you answered the call (or *cry*) of your fans who were complaining or just expressing their genuine confusion. I, too, didn’t understand the original version, till I read a comment that explained it. I also decided to just go on w/ my life and keep visiting for more of your fantastic work. I am really impressed/pleased that you took it upon yourself to modify this comic – for the fans, I guess.
I liked it WAY better when I thought it was a tattoo.
I figured he’d been sick or put out with sleeping berries or w/e, and they’d tattooed it on his forehead.

I am going to be a REAL asshole here:
Remove the first three panels and it’ll be perfect. The punchline is kinda explained in the first three panels.
Forgive me lord, forgive me.
damn you sir – gonna try that out

Excellent!
I desire more, sir. More!
On another note, this is my favourite internet comic site – I love the Batman stuff. Nice work.

Ha, you actually did it. Guess that’s worth a word of appreciation too. Now it’s perfect.
Also, all of your other comics are very funny. The way you manage to cram these expressions into such a simplistic style is great, and adds that artistic ‘signature’ to it that makes your comics stand out.
Besides, also worth to note: This and XKCD are the only comic series I frequently check upon, and manage to put a smile on my face.

On the last box I would add a streak of light to suggest it’s his reflection in the water. But the theme and the strip are excellent!
He had it on all winter.
